Sharp, Current, Compliant
Recurrent training keeps a business jet pilot proficient, compliant, and operationally sharp. Ideally delivered over two events for CAT and NCC crew (Single event package available for NCC crew), the programme combines online ground school refreshers with Level D Full Flight Simulator sessions covering normal operations, system updates, and abnormal and emergency scenarios. Annual training includes the License Proficiency Check; commercial crews also complete the Operator Proficiency Check.
Less Travel, Sharper Crews
Online ground school runs year round, completed in your own time. The residential simulator phase is shorter, with less travel and less time away from the line. Operator specific items such as LVO, PBN, Steep Approach, and ETOPS can be added in when you need them.

Duration
Part CAT operators: 2 + 2 days — two visits per year, six months apart. Each visit comprises one day of recurrent training (UPRT + phased recurrent items aligned to the operator’s OM-D) and one day of Operator Proficiency Check (OPC). The order of training and check is at the operator’s discretion.
Part NCC operators: 3 days, once per year — the recurrent training, phased items and check delivered in a single residential event. A split 2 + 2 (six-monthly) cadence is also available on request for operators who prefer to keep crews more current.
Ground school for both is delivered via the year-round online module library; no residential ground-school days are required.

Licensing Proficiency Check (LPC)
Every course culminates in the License Proficiency Check, delivered on the Level D Challenger 3500 Full Flight Simulator by a Training Centre Evaluator. Commercial crews also complete the Operator Proficiency Check, which may be delivered alongside the License Proficiency Check for constituted crews or separately by the receiving operator.

FAQs
-
Is the training accepted by EASA and the UK CAA?
Yes. AeronautX is an Approved Training Organisation under EASA, with parallel UK CAA approval. We develop our training courses in house, built around competence based training and assessment principles, and the data behind every simulator we operate has been generated using up to date modelling techniques and modern simulator technology. Both the courseware and the simulator qualifications are approved directly by the authorities, with no dependency on a manufacturer relationship. Every certificate we issue is accepted by EASA, the UK CAA, and the operators we work with.
-
How do your simulators compare to those at competing training centres?
Every simulator at our Amsterdam centre is a Level D Full Flight Simulator, the highest qualification level granted by EASA and recognised by the UK CAA. The devices are qualified to the same standard as every other Level D simulator on the same type in Europe, with no higher tier of fidelity, motion, or visual system available anywhere in the industry. What you fly with us is the same standard you fly anywhere else.

Is ground school done online, and can crews complete it at any time of year?
Yes to both. Recurrent ground school runs through our online module library, available year round and completed in the crew’s own time. Crews arrive in Amsterdam having already covered the theory, so the residential phase is shorter, with less travel and less time away from the line.
